It all started after school
My whole life I was told my hair was very healthy and had quality
After a concert where I saw some awesome headbanging action I decided that I wanted to be able to headbang like those rockers too.

Time.....
Needless to say this process took a very long time.
During the summer it was f******g hot under the hood, in the winter the hair must not get wet.
Most annoying part was I wanted to deal with bad hair days without any products in order for my hair to stay as healthy as possible.

Slowly but steadily
After 6 months I stopped having bad hair days and started having bad hair weeks.
It doesn't matter if you have a goal.....
Still I had to adapt certain things in my life like eating, swimming, showering,.....
in order to keep my mouth empty and my head full of healhy hair.
Being a biker didn't help the situation a lot

Patience
Somehow the bad hair weeks stopped too, once the hair got to a certain length.
That meant now I was running even greater risk of eating my own hair during breakfast, lunch and supper.
Even when I had my Bike accident
(Yes it's the pic above) I knew "thy hair may prevail"
It looked nice though. That kept me going.

Almost there
I was almost there to do my first real headbang. Although I looked more and more like a girl (and trust me, there are not many women who like men looking like ugly girls xD) I kept going, because at the time I already let my hair grow for 2 years staight
During the whole process I learned to enjoy looking different from most other men.
There were situations where I was being underestimated in my job due to my hair and also being harassed by some idiots due to my looks, but thankfully those situations were on only some rare occasions.
Sometimes I felt a little bit helpless. Remember, I was becoming an engineer at the time so I had to crawl sometimes on the floor in order to be able to do my job.
After all that I can finally say....
I DID IT!!!

It was fun while it lasted

Modelling, headbanging like a god and playing in a band was really fun, but life is not always fun and not everyone has the luxury of having hair (as cliché as it sounds think of all the people battling cancer)
Since I wanted to change my hair again, my sister advised me to donate it, instead of (my first idea) glueing it on some cupboard and destroying 3 years of progress in the process.

I found a hairdresser that does provide this kind of service and booked an appointment immediately.
The following day when they just wanted to start cutting off the spliss, the hairdresser stopped and told me that my hair is so healthy that there is no spliss, so they could actually use the whole lenght of the hair.
40cm in total (15,75 inches) were donated in 2 bundles.

Only regret.....
F*****g bad hair days were back

Thanks for your Attention!!!
